OUR PROJECT:
To develope centralised Tamil spell checker for GNU/Linux. Lexicons with morphological and syntactic information are needed for the development of spell checker that can be integrated in word processors.Currently available spell checkers for tamil includes less number of words.The new spell checker will include large number of tamil words.
The development will be based on the existing open source tamil spell checker aspell.Aspell is one of the popular spell checkers but has to improved in case of tamil.The centralised tamil spell checker will be created in such a way that ,it can be integrated with many wordprocessors and browsers.
